Biaxin is an antibiotic agent that is commonly prescribed for infections of the upper respiratory tract. It is not good advice to keep any medication for purposes other than the specific condition it was prescribed for, and all medications that have reached their expiration date (listed on the pharmacy label) should be discarded.
