I have similar experiences (breaking out in hives when I sweat or take showers) and I have been diagnosed with urticaria. I keep the hives and intense itching under control by taking a prescription antihistamine at bedtime. You might want to ask your dr. if urticaria is possibly what you have. Hope this helps.
