I also received allergy shots when I was a teenager. It seemed to help, but years later I developed other more serious immune system problems. I believe the best treatment is through natural remedies and supplements. I would contact a naturopathic physician. Among the general recommendations I follow are: taking antioxidants (Vit. A, C, and E), avoid foods I'm allergic to as well as any smells. Usually, by trying to live a natural lifestyle you'll eliminate many of the allergens: replace commercial detergents with natural ones, commercial perfumes with natural essences, commercial foods with natural and organic foods, avoid cigarrette smoke, and other air pollutants, drink enough water, do regular exercise, avoid stress (yoga and meditation have helped me to relax), and pray.
