: After experiencing facial swelling that is related to food allergy, now I am suffering from extreme joint pain. It lasts about 24 hours and then reoccurs. Does anybody else get this pain? How do you begin to determine what you are allergic to when it seems like it could be a variety of things? And what type of Benadryl is best?
Sometime joint pain can be caused by the nightshade vegetables which are: potatoes, tomatoes, peppers and eggplant. These veggies contain solanine which some people are very sensitive to. I know a person that is so sensitive that 6to8 potato chips will make her ache for a week.
With food allergies, I get a severe headache so I use Potassium Bicarb/Calc.Carb. 1:1, Sodium Bicarb. works just as well but I prefer Potassium because I need it.I use 1/4 teaspoon in 6oz of water.I have a reaction with Benadryl. It makes me very---very sleepy.
You use a Rotation Diet to determine the foods that give you a reaction. It will take alot of time to find out the foods that are causing problems.I hope this helps!!
