Hi. My sister has been ill and it's been a mystery to the family too. Since April of '99, she's been seeing doctor after doctor. But to no avail. Finally come October she found a doctor who could help her. And, just this evening, January 27, 2000 at 8:00 p.m., I found out that my sister has - ALS. She got her results earlier today. I'm 2 1/2 hours away from my family, so all I could do as I am now, is cry, pray, and be strong for my sister. I've been searching the web for all the information I can find on ALS since I found out an hour ago. That's when I came across you're message. I want to wish you and your wife the best of luck and pray all goes well. Thank you.

: Over the past 18 months my wife and I began a medical mystery tour that ended in June 1999. My wife, Cindy, was diagnosed with ALS.

: This message is sort of the beginning of my attempt to learn more about how ALS affects victims and their families.

: I am also new to "THE NET" and message boards.

: If anyone has any comments or thoughts on ALS, I welcome your response.

: May GOD bless you.
