: Over the past 18 months my wife and I began a medical mystery tour that ended in June 1999. My wife, Cindy, was diagnosed with ALS.
: This message is sort of the beginning of my attempt to learn more about how ALS affects victims and their families.
: I am also new to "THE NET" and message boards.
: If anyone has any comments or thoughts on ALS, I welcome your response.
: May GOD bless you.
I'm sorry to hear about your wife. At least people are responding to you. My husband was diagnosed two years ago. He has a great attitude and is still on his feet. But there have been some rough times and I'm sure more to come. It has just started to affect his breathing but he has better than I do right now. There are allot of recourses otu there. Use every thing you can. And don't deny help if it's offered. This is a terrable disease and nto a whole lot of treatments available. Take Care and hope to hear from you.
