Hi. My name is Amanda Barnes and I am a 23 year old student who lives in Chicago. A little under a year ago my Grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. Shortly after her diagnosis we entered her into am assisted living facility that is specifically for people who are in the early to middle stages of the disease. I am interested in the opinions of people regarding such facilities? Do you think these facilities for Alzheimer's patients only are helpful? Also, although the facility is wonderful, and the staff is very helpful I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for activities the residents could do? Specifically I am looking for activities that may help them keep their minds alert. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
