The thyroid balances out all body chemicals and hormones and esp. tires or burns out in the middle-aged, elderly or aged after about 50 and on. This problem may be from meds which side-effects you can get from a pharmacy or you get a referral to an endocrinologist, which I would do as dementia is a symptom of low-thyroidism.
I had wild body temp fluctuations from low-thyroidism that I do not have now.
