Linda, I'm no expert because I was living away from home, however I do remember my father talking about how he had to feed my mother and grind up her food, or give her soft foods. This was after my dear mother had Alzheimer's for eight years. Be careful that the food isn't too liquified or it can move too fast and go into the lungs. This is something I'd talk with the doctor about. Hope this helps. Kathy
