: My mother is 80 yrs. with Alzheimers last
stages, she is bed bound, now she is talking
nonstop,we sleep with earplugs and is very hard
for everyone it is already very hard on the family
the doctor can find any pills that will control
this any suggestions.we are at the end of our
rope,HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know exactly how you feel, I am an "alzheimers care giver" I work with a patient that has the "talk insessantly to ones self"syndrome period also, the only thing you can really do is walk out of hearing range from time to time, also if patient is ambulatory a ride with soft music playing helps, or singing to patient in soothing tone, or perhaps reading to them, you have to have help for you also, ask friend or family member to spell you for a few hours. You need to take care of you so you can take care of them. I have a page about my patient that you may want to read. God bless you. Mickie
