I've heard that gingko helps, but it's important to ask a doctor because some brands may thin the blood and cause brain bleeds. That's a problem if the reason the person has dementia is because they had a brain bleed in the first place. That type of person may be told by a doctor to not risk it, or be told to only use a certain brand name (there are so many on the market).
