My mom (70) was diagnosed with possible Alzhemiers
(she had a mini stroke 18 months ago also, so they are not certain of her dementia cause, but she is on aricept and she has problems with diarrhea also. I also believe that is one of the listed side effects in the phamplet insert that comes in the new perscription box.
Talk to her dr. maybe he can decrease her dosage enough to alleviate her diarrhea without decreasing the effects on her dementia.
