My mother was put on Exelon about 2 months ago. Before she took Aricept. I really havent seen any changes in her with either drug. She started Exelon at 1.5 mg. twice a day. I really didnt see any significant differences in her or her behavior. Her doctor just upped the dose to 3.0 mg twice a day. She gets very sick at this dose level. Throwing up violently. I kept her on them for about 2 weeks, but I can't have her throwing up and feeling miserable all day, everyday. It certainly adds to her depression. I have taken her off the 3.0 dose and will have the doctor lower her dose again. Exelon as well as Aricept have side affects producing severe nausia in my mothers case.

: : Is anyone familiar with this new drug? If so, please tell me the pros/cons. Do you think it works better than ARICEPT? Thanks.
: Have just started my wife on EXELON at 1.5mg,twice a day. Will post any noticeable affects if(and when) I see them.
