Why are you still trying to gain your mother's approval?
You never had it, due to here dysfunction...that isn't your fault.
You are a good daughter, but that doesn't mean you can take care of your mom.
You CAN make sure she is taken care of, though.
So, make the hard decisions, and let go of it.
You didn't create her problems. They are hers to live with...sure you care, but can't throw away your personal responsibilities..your own husband and family comes first.
