My mother is 80yrs old and has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. In 1992 a doctor I worked for told me she was exhibniting some early signs but I didn't want to hear that. However now she is living with my husband and I and I am her full time caregiver. In less than a year she has progressively become unable to walk, cannot complete a sentence, or a full thought. She is now wheel chair and bed bound and incontinent. She talks in all the time about what she needs to do and it usually is about going to help someone in the family who has already died years ago. I have noticed that she can read anything she see's written on a bill board, tv screen, book etc. Of course she doesn't comprehend what she reads. But I would like to know where in this disease process she is? What stage and what do I expect next? Can anyone help me?
Thank You
Dianne
