Hi!
My brother has just been diagnosed by the blood bank with a ferritin level of 6.
His hemoglobin levels are OK though.
Anyway my Mum is really worried. So if anyone has any sort of information or experiences
with this, we would really appreciate a post back!!
My brother is almost 30 years old and is generally very healthy. He eats a heap of
fruit and vegatables so I doubt that he is lacking in Vitamin C - and I doubt that he is not getting
enough iron from his diet. From what I have read its reasonably unusual for a male to have
such a low level.
Does anyone have any clues about what could be wrong??
Thanks for this
Chantelle
