I have always been concerned about my b12 levels and absorption. Main concern about absorption
is the fact I don't have an ileum (removed due to Crohns disease), which I have read is where b12 is absorbed. My serum b12 levels at least
as far as I know have been okay. However, does that mean the b12 is being used by the cells?
I have all the symptoms of b12 deficiency; extreme fatigue, irritability, memory problems,
nervous tics, tremors, tics, heart beat irregularities, etc. Should I have a Schillings test? My
doctor doesn't seem to think so since my serum b12 levels are ok.
Scott
