Hi Angela,
Your menstrual cramping has nothing to do with your anemia. Although if you have Fe Deficiency Anemia, the anemia could be related to heavy bleeding. Cutting out dairy products, eggs, and other animal products with hormones in them will help. Also, quit caffeine if you drink it and junk food, as well. Because you are still so young and growing, I would recommend that you have the help of a good nutritionist in order to do this so that you don't lose out on important nutrients. I highly recommend the book "Food and Healing" by Anne Marie Colbin. You'll learn about the effects certain foods have on your body and how to get complete nutrition.
Best wishes to you!
