In Reply to: post-delivery rheumatid flares-anyone else? posted by Sarah on October 18, 1999 at 10:22:47:

: Five years ago I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis two months after delivering my first child. I was under a rheumatologist's care for one year and improved with placquenil, but went to visit a nurtitionist and seemed to benefit more from alternative treatments. Went off drugs with no problem, and two years later had a second child, only to have another flare two months after that delivery! Have been on meds again for two and a half years. Have met three other women in my area who had similar flares and who also have never tested positive for the RH factor. Would love to know if others have these factors incommon, and what types of treatments are being used.

not to completely answer your question, but to offer a possible herbal help?
red clover, burdock root and dandelion root.
combined and made as a tea, taken 2-3x's daily as the pain arises.
then concentrate on the liver cleansing
i know this does not specifically answer your question but, this is an alternative help for helping those who might experience similar problem and have limited access to a nutritionalist. when using these herbs please stay away from alcohol extracts and see if you can get the raw herb...works better.
