I am 24 years old now, but I was diagnosed with arthritis when I was 13. It came on shortly after a major surgery. My arthritis is very severe and my joints and deteriorating. if there is one thing I can tell you is to try to stay as active as you can. Keep miving and doing as much stuff for yourself as you can. My parents and sisters all treated me too well and I milked being a little bit sore. I would always ask people to do simple things for me because I was too lazy. they always would and pretty soon I really needed them to do the simple things for me. Today, I have had both hips and both knees replaced because of the deterioration of the cartlidge in them. I'm not trying to scare you, but I want to warn you not to take advantage of people that are willing to help you. Again, do as much for yourself as you can, but if you need help ask for it. Sorry so long, but If this helps you stay healthy longer it was worth it. And if you want to ask me any questions you can just post them here or e-mail at MUL1975@aol.com
