: I have recently been diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis, a form of arthritis. I am trying to find out whether following a special diet or taking some nutritional herbal supplements may help alleviate the symptoms. So far I have found nothing on this topic. Can anybody help ?
Hi,
There are some research that suggest following a starch free diet might help in reducing the pain. This is due to a theory that says A.S. is the result of interaction between some bacteria in the human gut and HLA-B27 gene in people with A.S.
