I have just finished with the three injections of Synvisc to the knee. I have had some relief, but still have pain in my knee at night or when I have been on my legs for any length of time. It takes 6to 8 weeks to know if it has really helped. If it has worked for me it could last for being pain free for 6 months to a year. I have been on the internet researching Synvisc and in other countries they have had results of people who have been pain free for up to 4 years. I tried this because I have had surgeries, cortisone shots and different arthritic medicines and nothing else seemed to help much. I am 54 years old and doctors do not like to do knee replacements until you are at least 60 years old so this may buy me some time.
