: Has anyone ever heard of a medicine called Remicaid. My doctor said it is new and works like ENBREL except that it needs to be given by IV in the doctors office. I am on prednisone, methotrexate, enbrel, Vioxx, Folic Acid, Previcid, Calcium, iron, Darvacet, Glucosamine and Vitamin C. If anyone has heard of Remacaid do you know if it will react with any of these medicines? Any info would be helpful. thanks

Anything I say should not substitute for advice from your doctor. Remicaid can take two to four weeks from the time of injection to see the full effects. The possible side effects that should be told to the doctor right away are chest pain, cough, dizziness, fever, muscle pain, rash or hives, shortness of breath or vomiting. If you get an upset stomach or increased tiredness tell your doctor when you get a chance to call his office.
