For the last year I have been suffering from peculiar symptoms ranging from abdominal pains, to numbness in my limbs, to severe joint pain. Last December (two weeks after returning from a trip to Israel)I was admitted to the hospital for severe upper abdominal pains. It felt like someone had kicked me over and over again in the upper middle to right portions of my abdomen. At times it felt like a burning sensation. The doctors couldn't help me at the hospital so I was released. One day after being at home I developed swelling in my right foot and an outbreak of small red dots (purpura) or broken blood vessels all over my legs - from my upper thighs to my toes. My feet, knees, and elbows swelled and stiffened. This condition lasted for a few weeks, then suddenly it disappeared. For 6 months after the initial symptoms I was back to "normal" In September I began to have the severe joint pain, but no redness, swelling, or purpura. I have been tested and scanned for practically all infectious diseases and neurological diseases. So far everything has been negative. I have been treated for lyme disease and there have been suggestion of a possible dairy allergy.
If anyone has had these symptoms or can offer any suggestions please respond.
