I'm a slow learner on how to post here. I hope you will bear with me till I find out how to do it cleanly.
I am truly better and more pain free but really can't tell you for sure if it is the acupuncture. In fact the
acupuncturist is also a chiropractor and has changed his method on me from needles to thumbs.
After acupuncture, I would walk out of his office feeling great, but by the time I got home I could feel
the pain coming back .After the first treatment I was painfree for 18 hours and 36 hours the 2nd
time. I really thought I'd found something but then the next 4 sessions were less then 4 hours of
being pain free. After the 5th session, he told me to walk around the block before going home and
come back in for some follow up work. This is where he started using his thumb for a needle, but I
think he went in deeper.
He told me he believed that most of my pain was coming from tendons and ligaments that were
twisted as he didn't think my arthritis was that severe yet. The back of my calves and theighs were
very tight. [from running marathons in my late 50's with too little stretching] Now this thumb on a
tendon, ligament, or muscle in my groin is PAINFULL, but the results are immediate. I'm now going
on Mondays and Thursdays and this has been great for last week and this week. I felt so good at
the gym this morning, I jumped on the treadmill and started running. That was a mistake, I'm not that
well! We don't all get wiser as we get older...Gramps.
