Anything I say should not be a substitute for advice from your doctor. There is an ankle lace up brace that your doctor can prescribe for you. I dont know if you can just go to an orthotic supply and buy it without a prescription. Im not sure if that would mean the insurance company wont cover the cost unless your doctor prescribes it though.
