: I have had all 3 of the synvisc injections in my knee, but I am still experienceg alot of pain. Had physical therapy, but dr. stopped as was doing more damage than good. I need to know the possibilities of knee replacement.

Jan - I have had both hips and both knees replaced. My knees and hips were just rubbing bone on bone and the pain was unbearable. If you can no longer stand the pain I would recommend getting your knee replaced. The recovery time is not very long, after 1 month you can put some pretty good weight on it. I would talk to your doctor about it. I'm glad I had it done. One downside is that the replacement parts are only supposed to last 15 - 20 years. I don't know how old you are, but I'm only 24 and think I will probably need a new set one day.
