Magnets have helped me for 4 years:
I guess I am writing this because I am in desperate need of some advise, support, and maybe some answers if there are any. I am a 32 year old lady diagnosed with severe degenerative arthritis in C3-C4, I am told there is not a surgical procedure in the world to help me and I have to wait for the 2 vertebra to degenerate enough to naturally fuse together. Does this sound logical?? I Don't know how long this is supposed to take, 1 year, 5 years, 10 years. All I know is that I have constant pain, and taking nsaids to control it, I guess I am looking for someone in the same boat, anyone out there???
: As a result of an auto accident 7 years ago I am now experiancing the exact problem with my c-6/c-7 cervical discs.
: I go to a chiropractor every 4 weeks for back & neck massage and spinal adjustment that is very helpful. I also get physcal therapy treatments whenever I can get my physician to write a prescription (about every other year), these have also been very helpful. I have recently started to take Glucosime & Chondroitin Sulfates to see if they can regenerate any of the damaged tissue. I also use a portable neck traction unit ocassionaly and that also helps as does heat packs.
