I take 50 mg. of Vioxx, 2,000 mg. of Azulfadine and 5mg of prednisone every day
and have been for the past four months. So far, so good. My sed rate has gone down
from 44 to 4 and my red and white blood cells are normal, as are my platelets, liver and kidneys doing
well also.
I was so bad off in February (with almost every joint in my body not working, I had carpal tunnel, tendonitis
and synovitis in my knees, ankles (specifically achilles tendon), elbows, fingers and it slowly
went into my jaw and one toe. I was in tremendous pain before I started on my present
drug regimen. My Rhematologist is wonderful and I have a great repore with him. He plans
on keeping me on this medicine (and regular blood work) until he says I feel great for at least
a full six months. I wish you all could have my doctor. Taking these kinds of medicine require
almost constant monitoring of your blood. So, I suggest you see a Rheumatologist. The
American Medical Association has a website to search for doctors. Just do a search for
American Medical Association. Good luck.

: I HAVE BEEN USING VIOXX FOR ABOUT THREE MONTHS--FOR THE FIRST MONTH IT DID A
: GREAT JOB OF REDUCING PAIN AND STIFFNESS--THEN IT BECAME LESS EFFECTIVE--ABOUT 1
: WEEK AGO I STARTED TAKING 50MG EACH MORNING--I HAVE BETTER CONTROL OF PAIN
: AND STIFFNESS AGAIN BUT AM WONDERING ABOUT THE NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF THIS DOSE--
: HAS ANYONE OUT THERE BEEN USING VOIXX AT THE 50MG LEVEL--
