: My grandma has gout, and I am looking for some useful remedies to ease her pain. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Taylor,
I have had gout for about 30 years now and took medication when I had my first attack. The purines problem is correct. I've also found a problem with eating dry beans, oranges, prepared meats (ham, hot dogs, bacon, etc.) internal organs, red wines, too much meat during the week, heavy Italian sauces. When an attack happens I switch to fresh veggies and lots of water. Seems to keep it manageable. Good luck
