I have been on predisone since my diagnosis January 94! As much as 15 mg daily to as little as 2.5 mg daily( that is where I am now). My doc. would like to see me off it completely..but i would like to function without pain! So, I win!!
As to long-term effects, I can't be sure. I know I had a bone density test and failed! So, Calcium is now part of my routine meds!
I think predisone is wonderful..and i ain't going to stop!
