I just found this site and I am very pleased to tell you about my mother's experience with arthritic pain. Her wrists and ankles would be painfully swollen and it would keep her from having a good night's sleep. She had to take tylenol and wait for them to work before she could go out during the day. We didn't think taking all these painkillers could be good for her.
Then I talked to this reflexologist. He recommended using an infra-red lamp. He uses it also on his patients. He suggested about 10 minutes or so a couple of times a day. The heat helps the blood to circulate. Apparently, water-soaking doesn't really help. In the end the water is retained in the joints which in turn aggravates the problem. You can get an infra-red lamp very cheaply in the States or Canada. Ever since my mother used it, she has stopped taking tylenol.
Try this and see. My mother swears by it and we're all glad she doesn't have to take painkillers and some other drugs now. She does take supplements like Primrose Oil, etc but the painkillers are no longer required.
Good luck and take care.
: There is only 1 thing that helps pain and that is pain meds like hydrocodone. I've tried the oils, vitamines and all that other junk and meds works all the time. For short time relief, hot water soak for at least 20 min.s.
