My friend suffers a lot with arthritis pain but he is a Christian and knows the pain won't be around forever. He has trusted in Jesus Christ and firmly believes the following promise:
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
He knows that one day he'll be perfectly well when he leaves this life.
"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory." (2 Corinthians 4:17)
