: I'M TRYING TO FIND INFORMATION ON A PRODUCT CALLED REMICAID, USED FOR TREATMENT OF RHUMITOID ARTHRITIS WHAT IS IT ? HOW DOES IT WORK OR DOES IT WORK
Remicade is a fairly new drug for RA. It has been used to treat crohn's disease for a bit longer. It works similarly to enbrel, but it is an infusion, done in hospital or a properly equipped clinic, by the doctor, while enbrel is self injected in one's home. In clinical trials, remicade helped approximately 50% of those tested, to some degree. Some were helped "some" while others were helped very much. As I said, remicade's action is somewhat like enbrel but it was not as effective, in trials, as enbrel, and it is a more invasive treatment with greater potential for undesireable side effects, in my opinion...,beau
