: Does anyone suffer from both arthritis and high blood pressure? If so, have you found any medication for arthritis that doesn't elevate your blood pressure? I have tried ibuprofen and Vioxx but they elevated my pressure so much I had to stop them. I am in great pain and need relief.
: Any suggestions will be sincerely appreciated.
Yes, I have osteoarthritis and high blood pressure. I am a nurse aide and do a lot of bending
and heavy lifting. I am taking Relafen 2000 mg a day. 1000 in a.m. and 1000 in p.m. plus I take
Accupril for my high blood pressure. My doctor informed me that I now have to go off the Accupril
because of it's side effects.
But for the most part, the two worked pretty well for me until the side effects started.
Some days are worse then others though when no pain medication relieves the arthritis pain.
