Low grade fever is fairly common in active (flaring) RA. Your Mother probably needs to be on a DMARD (disease modifying anti rheumatic drug) as well as an NSAID. Tell her new rheumy about the fever. She must keep trying NSAIDS and DMARDS until the right combo for her is found. That is when the fevers will cease and swelling will diminish and she will feel better..., beau
