Something which we found important in qualifying for disability were the original doctors notes from his office visits, exams and interpretation of tests. Make sure that you look at them yourself and make sure that the doctor's office sends to SS what you need them to send. We went for months assuming that our Dr. had sent everything and only found out at the end that they had not. Once we produced the documentation( by special trip to Dr's office, looked at records and told them this is what SS is asking for) then the approval went through in a week. We spent over 18 mo. on the whole process. Don't quit if you get turned down. Make sure you get reputable
SS legal specialist to help you.
