They are simply 2 separate substances, like apples and oranges, I believe. Also, there are 2 kinds of glucosamine. There may be more than 1 kind of chondroitin, I'm not sure.

It is said by some, that glucosamine and glucosamine/chondroitin help folks with osteoarthritis. It may or it may not---the jury is still out on this really, but I did have a friend that tried glucosamine and after approximately 1 1/2 months, his osteoarthritis improved a lot. He credited the glucosamine, but no one knows for sure. Your rheumatologist is your best source of information and guidance...,beau
