Just read some of the posts.
here is a list of the offending substances My loved one found out triggered her pain and swelling:
Brocolli and anything in the brocolli family, Peanuts and peanut family including peanut oil, green peppers and family, vinegar, some spices (dont remember which).
7 days of white fish, pure water no chlorine, or chemicals, squash. All cooked with no salt or spices. Brush the teeth with backing soda, and do not put anything on your skin or in your body. use the most natural soap and shampoo you can find.
Take a laxative the day you start, drink plenty of water, to clean out your digestive tract. Symptoms should go down on day 2, and will return on day 3, on day 4, 5, and 6 they will be down, on day 7 they will return bad. after day 7 symptoms should go down a lot. when symptoms are gone for at least 2 days, start introducing one item into you diet, per day. If it is the offending substance you will know it within 1/2 hour. (you will get terrible pain) keep on the diet till the pain goes away. Then start again. One new food group item per day. (Do not discontinue any medications that may cause life threatening situations, but do keep an eye on their reactions)
It's not an easy diet, and I may not be telling you all the details. But if you try it, make sure you learn about what foods belong to what families. Do not take more than one new food per day. Cook with no spices or fats.
Remember, it doesn't work for everyone, and you might be surprised at what is causing you ailments, when you are on the diet. Be suspicious of all things, and you probably already have an idea of some of the things that are bothering you. (the half hour test). The book speaks of another small test, you put an offending substance in your mouth, up against your gums, and hold your arms out in front of you. have someone push down on your arms, you will feel weakness, like someone has zapped your strenght. (again, it doen't work for everyone)
