: Dear Thelma
I too have been told I have carpel tunnel by my
Doctor, on visiting a specialist yesterday I am told I am also suffering from a form of arthritis. For the carpel tunnel I was prescribed Diclax SR, an anti-inflammatory/analgesic. This has only eased the pain slightly. The specialist has prescribed Amitrip tabs. 10mg which act on the nerve fibres apparently at this low dosage.
My first nights sleep after taking this medication was wonderful and I have noticed a differnce to how I feel already. Only time will tell so perhaps in a months time I can give you an update.I have never replied to this page before , can you let me know if you get this.
I have just in the last two weeks been dx with RA. Not sure which direction to go. Dr. started me on VIOXX today because choline mas. was not doing anything. Have had tremendous pain, numbness, burning in my hand as well at same time. Does anyone have experience with simultaneous RA and carpel tunnel, please let me know if this is a coincidence or will it improve once I find a med that works. Thanks for the help.
