: I would like to hear from anyone else who has AS.
: My husband was diagnosed about 15 years ago. He is 36 and generally he is OK just the usual stiffness. He had a chronic flare up 12 years ago and has just had another which lasted for about 6 months. Not only did he suffer stiffnes in the hips back and neck, but had swelling of both feet, knees and hands. He is currently taking Feldene and Salazapyrin. My question is does any one else suffer these rather incapacitating flare ups?
Hi,I am 35 and have had AS since I was 13.It can be very painful at times.I won`t get into my long story, but have had major problems in my hips, back and neck, feet, knees, hands and eyes.Unfortunetly,it is hereditary in my family.Even my 13 year old son has been tested and he also carries the HLA B27 gene.I go to the gym daily which has helped very much.
I hope I hear from you. Please feel free to email me at:firstname.lastname@example.org.I`m very sorry you have this terrible disease.
