I have osteoarthritis in my right knee, right hip, both wrists and my left ankle. I injured my knee in 1983. It has a bad cracking sound on movement with pain when walking up stairs, running ect. Doc says it is osteo but about 2 weeks ago something strange happened. I fell landing on my knee because both my wrists are in casts and the knee was sore for as few days but then all of a sudden while I was walking it got stuck and I couldn't move it, after a few minutes I was able to move it but with a sharp pain like there was something stuck in my knee somewhere and the next day the pain moved to a different part of my knee. If I touched the spots it felt like a bruise. This has been going on every few days. I will be fine and then the locking and severe pain. I called the Doc and I have a appointment on Oct 30 for x-rays but I am worried, what is going on? I am a 38 yr old female fairly active but about 40 pounds over weight. What should I do before I see the Doc? I am scared I may not be able to walk after a while. In Dec I am having surgery on my right wrist for Carpel Tunnel and then another surgery on my left wrist for a tendon injury to my thumb sometime after that. Why am I falling apart? Raven
