:Hi Omar. I found an article on trials in the United Kingdom stating that they are running trials on a new treatment. You can find it at http://arthritis.miningco.com/health/arthritis/.
They are believe it may be a cure. It requires 2 days in the hospital and the infusion of 3 drugs; Niturinab, Prednisoline, and Cytoxan. They tested 20 people who had RA for an average of 22 years and all but 2 either went into remission or improved alot. 2 had side effects.
My AR has improved since I did the elimination diet (I now eat whatever I want but not anything daily that bothered me before) I take a lot of vitamins, MSM, Glucosamine and chondroitin, and fish oil. I also take aspirin daily. Usually, only 2 a day works now. If I start to have a flare, I take more. All I have now is some stiffness and a lack of coordination because of the damage to some of my joints. I have found that the less I worry about it, the better it is.
