: Have had RA for over 20 years , married and have a six year old. Going through a hard time. Very tired no energy My little one is realizing I can't do certain things such as run after her. So she's using my disability to try and get away with stuff. I get so frustrated when RA prevents me from doing things. I just need someone to talk with the same situation.
Hey,
I have RA and a three year old son.
Since the day he was born I promised myself that he would understand my illness and the medication I take.
He comes and kisses my hands and things better. He understands that I take meddication to make me feel better and he is so good in the morning and at night when I feel the worst.
I surround myself with people who can play with him which means a close relationship with the family. He attends Nursery school everyday.
I play quiet and educational games with him, which is fun.
I am strict but fair and I always make sure he knows I love him very much.
It is very hard knowing I will never be able to play with him the way I would like. I do not feel like I miss anything though, I hope his understanding grows with him and hopefully he will have a brother or sister soon.
Do not feel sorry for yourself it just gets you down but feel glad for what you have.
