singulair question

now that i have finally accepted the fact that my asthma has returned, i have some questions about beginning singulair treatment. my friend swears by the product. yet, i have my concerns. is it true that it can cause liver damage in some patients (i know i read this somewhere, i just forgot where)? if any of you have any inf or personal anecdotes regarding singulair, it would be greatly appreciated if you would post on this board. thanks.
