i think i might have asthma

Hi im a student of 24 but over the past year
i havent been able to study very much because
i have had these troubling concentration
problems. Its like this pressure builds up
inside my head and chest when im at a lecture
or reading or listening to someone.

The doctor believes its from worry and anxiety
problems that i also have so shes prescribed
medicine that im on at the moment.

But i have also noticed lately that i wake
up in the night gasping for breath sometimes.
That would suggest the disorder sleep apnea.

But also during the day i feel sometimes
shortness of breath. And ive been playing
pool alot lately in a smokey environment
like 1-2 hours a day. Could this have made
me develop asthma? I noticed once when
i was in the pool hall that i got this
electric chest pain and had trouble
breathing, also something started like
pulsating and hurting in some gland in
the side of the neck in the throat area.
Could this had been the start of an attack?
