6 months on antibiotics?!! I hope your doctor is familiar with childhood autism and current treatments. My experiance is that each time antibiotics(amoxicillin) were used on our child, his autism got much worse and might even be the
main cause of it. You may solve the strep problem, perhaps temporarily, but there may be broader ramifications. Do some more research and seek an alternitive. CF has good advice.
: My son recently went to an allergy specialist to have test. The doctor is also testing for foods (related to autism). My son gets very sick with high fevers. The doctor said that there is a strep common in autistics with severe allergies. We are now on a six month round of antibiotics. Does anyone know anything about this or has any loved one with this problem?
