We've been doing an ABA program for 2 years now and, while it has taught my daughter some good skills, if I had to do it all over again (she was 3 when we started) I would DEFINATELY do a Greenspan program instead. Especially if your chid is stubborn, ABA can cause your child to eventually shut shut down and shut you out, since it's very "in your face". I know the Lovaas numbers (48% "recovery") are very compelling, but Greenspan actually had almost 60%, plus it's a lot more "child friendly" approach which gives them social skills that ABA just can't match. Read up on it before you make a decision. They are both one-on-one therapies, both expensive, and both need to be done at least 5 hours per day for good results. Good luck!
