: My son has a sinus infection and the doctor has prescribed antibotics. We are treating him for yeast and he is doing wonderful. The last time we had to use antibotics he lost what little language he had gained since startin the Nystatin. I am trying to find out about echinacea. Has anyone ever used it for infection instead of antibotics, and what were the results. Please help me soon. I don't want the infection to get any worse. Thank You in advance.

Denise,

You might want to try oil of oregano (the good stuff is North American Herb&Spice). I am using it for my son's candida problem and eczema (which is mild on him). The eczema is drying up and I have yet to test my son's stool, but soon. I'll post on results. He just did not do well at all on the nystatin. Besides oil of oregano's fight on fungi, it is susposed to be great at clearing up sinus infections. But, if you try this check with your son's ped. first. I discussed the use of oil of oregano with my son's ped. before begining the use of it. I don't know much about
echinacea. If you try it, let us know if it is helpful.
