We tried to potty train our son at age 3 with limited success. At first, he freaked when ever we tried to get him to sit on it. We then bought a toddler size potty chair cushened insert seat. After about a month he was confortable sitting on the this seat but would not go potty there. Eventually, a few more weeks, he did, but only if we happened to time it right. Since then, a year passed, he seemed almost potty trained several times but regressed to using his diaper each time after a few weeks. Now, he will almost always go if he is brought to the bathroom and helped. Otherwise, its in the diaper. I'm also out of ideas.

You might also note that we had him on uracholine the last time he was "potty trained". The effect was hyperactivity and he lost interest in using the potty, probably because the side effect of the drug is loss of bladder control.
